Who Little Loop is for
Little Loop is for adults aged 18 or over who are parents or carers. Children cannot create accounts. Please use only a child's broad age range and never post their full name, school, home address or other identifying details.
Information we use
- Your sign-in email and account name, or for invited beta testers a browser-based invite identity.
- Your first name, broad area, child age range and optional bio.
- Meetups you host, join or mark as interested, including venue, date and attendance.
- Messages you post on joined meetup discussion boards and reports made about those messages.
- Feedback and bug reports you choose to submit.
- Your optional meetup email-alert preference and chosen broad area, plus delivery records when those alerts are sent.
- Safety reports, blocks, restrictions and the moderator decisions needed to investigate them.
- Basic technical security information supplied by the hosting and sign-in services.
Why we use it
Account, profile, meetup and attendance information is used to provide the service you ask for. Safety, fraud prevention and moderation information is used for Little Loop's legitimate interest in protecting members and operating responsibly. Information may also be used where the law requires it. We will ask first before adding optional marketing or non-essential analytics.
What other parents and carers see
Other members can see your first name, broad area, child age range, bio and the meetups you host. A meetup host can see the first name and broad area of people who show interest. Joined meetup members can also see your first name and messages on that meetup's discussion board. They do not see your email address. Moderators can see account emails only where needed to investigate safety concerns.
Who helps us run the service
Little Loop uses the OpenAI Sites environment for hosting, database services and secure account access. During invited beta testing, Little Loop may also store a signed browser session so a trusted tester can use the site without a ChatGPT login. If meetup email alerts are enabled, Little Loop also uses Postmark to deliver those messages. Those providers process information under their service terms and safeguards. Information may be handled outside the UK where appropriate contractual or legal protections apply. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Active accountWhile your account remains open.
Past meetupsAutomatically removed after their scheduled date, including their discussion messages.
Cancelled meetupsNormally removed within 90 days.
Email-alert preferencesUntil you pause them or delete your account.
Closed safety casesNormally retained for 12 months to identify repeat concerns and evidence decisions.
Discussion reportsNormally retained with the related meetup while needed for moderation and repeat-safety checks.
Open cases and restrictionsKept while genuinely needed for safety review.
BlocksUntil you remove the block or delete your account.
Deletion removes information from the live service. A moderator restriction record may be retained after account deletion where needed to prevent immediate re-registration with the same email. Temporary backups may take longer to expire under the hosting provider's controlled schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can correct your profile, download a machine-readable copy of your information or delete your account from Account and data. Depending on the circumstances, you may also ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to use based on legitimate interests. We normally respond within one month.
Decisions and complaints
Little Loop does not use solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Capacity limits and duplicate-report checks use simple rules; account restrictions are moderator decisions. You can contact us first or complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
